Their NatureServe Global Conservation Status Rank is G5 (Secure). Global Conservation Status: Western Wormsnakes are listed as Least Concern by the IUCN Red List. Louisiana Range: Known only from Caddo parish in extreme northwestern Louisiana, and three parishes (Franklin, Ouachita, Morehouse) in northeastern Louisiana.
